Description

Missouri is the third ship, the United States Navy Iowa-class battleship, was built in 1944, the same year in service. January 1945, the USS Missouri as the flagship of the 3rd Fleet, officially joined the United States Pacific Fleet, took part in a few battles, including Iwo Jima, the Battle of Okinawa, and the Japanese native attack operations of February to July 1945. Missouri witnessed the historic moment of the end of World War II - at 9:02 a.m. on September 2, 1945, the representative of Japan signed the unconditional surrender on the deck of the USS Missouri stationed in the Tokyo Bay, World War II ended. The reserve sequestration of the battleship was ordered in 1955, several times back and completely withdrawn until 1992.
