DH.94 Moth Minor ‘Under the Southern Cross’ 1/72
Description
The Special Hobby SPE72494 DH.94 Moth Minor “Under the Southern Cross” is a 1/72 scale plastic
model kit representing the British DH.94 Moth Minor light aircraft in
southern hemisphere service. Originally developed in the late 1930s as a modern
successor to the Tiger Moth, the DH.94 was later used for liaison, training and
communications roles by Allied forces, especially in Australia and New Zealand.
Kit contents:
- Two
sprues of grey injection-molded plastic parts
- One
sprue of clear plastic for the canopy and windscreens
- A
decal sheet offering at least four marking options (RAAF, RNZAF and
civilian)
- Illustrated
assembly instructions (Glue and paints are not included)
The DH.94 Moth Minor is a fixed-gear, two-seat
low-wing light aircraft, appreciated for its straightforward design and
versatile use in basic flying tasks.
Once built and painted, this kit makes a
distinctive addition to collections of WWII-era light aircraft or can be
featured in scenic displays of airfields and liaison units.
