Fouga CM.170 Magister 'French, belgian and irish Service'

Description

Fouga CM170 Magister is a subsonic jet designed in France in the early 1950s, and initially intended for training military pilots. It has been produced in a thousand copies and used by some twenty countries. Many copies were still in use at the beginning of the 21st century. In France, the Fouga Magister was commissioned in 1956 and deliveries continued until 1970. The aircraft was used for training, but also as a liaison aircraft. Gradually replaced from 1984, the Fouga was definitively withdrawn from service in 1996.
