The Mirage F.1 is one of the most iconic combat aircraft designed by Dassault Aviation. Developed from a private company initiative during the 1960s, it was selected by the French Air Force following the successful first flight of the Atar 9K-powered prototype on December 23rd, 1966. The aircraft evolved into numerous variants and enjoyed a long operational career both in France and with export customers around the world.

This Special Hobby release represents the Mirage F.1CT, a dedicated ground-attack variant converted from Mirage F.1C-200 airframes. Equipped with upgraded avionics, a laser rangefinder and mission-specific equipment, the F.1CT served with the French Air Force in several operational deployments, including Chad and Kosovo. The last aircraft were retired from service in 2012.

This edition includes an additional sprue dedicated to the CT and CR variants, featuring parts such as Corail decoy launchers and a large centerline fuel tank. The decal sheet provides markings for four French Air Force aircraft from different units and operational periods.

Widely regarded as one of the finest Mirage F.1 kits available in 1/72 scale, this model offers an excellent basis for building a detailed representation of the French tactical fighter. A wide range of aftermarket accessories is also available for further enhancement.
