Fairey Battle Mk.I ‘Bloodbath over France’ 1/72
Description
The Special Hobby SPE72153 – Fairey Battle
Mk.I “Bloodbath over France” is a 1/72 scale plastic model kit
depicting the British Fairey Battle light bomber as flown by the Royal Air
Force during the early phases of World War II. Deployed with the Air Component
of the British Expeditionary Force in 1939-1940, this aircraft suffered
heavy losses against enemy fighters and anti-aircraft defences during the
campaign in France.
The kit provides a faithful representation of
the aircraft with detailed surfaces and multiple historically accurate marking
options.
Kit contents
- Three
sprues of injection-molded plastic parts for the airframe and
structural components.
- One
sprue of clear plastic for the canopy and windows.
- A decal
sheet offering four RAF aircraft markings from May 1940.
- Illustrated
assembly instructions. (Glue, paints and modelling tools are not included.)
Once built and painted, this Fairey Battle
model makes a compelling addition to any collection of early World War II
aircraft, particularly those focusing on the Battle of France or Allied
aviation in 1940.
