Description: The PLAN Type 033 Submarine 87010 model kit is a meticulous reproduction of the Type 033 submarine used by the Chinese Navy (PLAN). Designed with Soviet assistance starting in 1959 for the production of the ROMEO submarine, the Chinese variant is known as the Type 033. This model represents an improved version of the original ROMEO, including a noise reduction of at least 20 dB. China built a total of 84 Type 033 submarines from 1962 to 1984, with several exported to other countries. Today, most of the Type 033 submarines have been retired or preserved, with a few remaining for training purposes.
