S-300 (NATO named SA-10 "Thunder") is a long-range air defense missile system developed and produced by the Russian Diamond Design Bureau. Its basic model is the original S-300P type. The S-300 system was used by the former Soviet air defense to intercept aircraft and long-range cruise missiles. Later variants have the capability to intercept ballistic missiles.
