MESSERSCHMITT Me 262 A-1b - 1945

Description

The Messerschmitt Me262 was the first jet fighter in the world. Project work had begun at Messerschmitt as early as April 1939 on a new high-speed fighter plane the propulsion of which was to consist of the turbine jet system. And on 18thJuly 1942 the Me262 took off on his first flight. The Me262 was power by two Jumo 004B type engines ,And this engines give the Me262 amaximum speed of 870km/hat an altitude of 6000m. its service ceiling was11400mand its range was1050km.basic armament consists of 4×30mm MK108 cannon installed on the nose .In addition ,2A - 2 type R4M rockets could be carried the wing. Me262A-1b as same as A-1a but powered with BMW 003 engines. Few were built, two are known to have existed at experimental establishments; maximum speed of 800 km/h (Scale : 1/48e)
