Description

History

It was developed in the late 1930s as a more powerful alternative to Komintern’s main engine. The tracked chassis was very useful in the Russian climate with its mud in summer and snow in winter. The cab can accommodate three people and the rear of the vehicles is a loading platform that can hold up to 3 t of goods or can accommodate up to 16 people. The Voroshilovet was also used as a recovery vehicle and was able to rescue medium and heavy tanks trapped in mud or snow. The tracked chassis offers the Voroshilovets good off-road mobility. Road speed is rather limited to a maximum of 34 km/ h.
