WZ-701 - ARMORED COMMAND and CONTROL VEHICLE - CHINESE PLA ARMY 1995

Description

The WZ-701 is an Armoured Command Vehicle (ACV) built on the YW-531 chassis and has much the same performance. This variant is larger with higher hull sides to give more internal space for communications equipment, power generator and map tables. A roof mounted 7.62mm machine gun was provided for defence The WZ-701 has not been exported and is used exclusively by the PLA. It is primarily issued to Regimental and Divisional field commanders of armoured, infantry and artillery units. The similar WZ-701A was the export model and has seen service in many countries.
