TYPE 770K (W-150) OFFENER TOURENWAGEN -1944

Description

The passenger car typ 770K was designed by Daimler Benz in 1938. It became the top of the company pre-war model range. The car had a 8 cylinder engine of 155 hp (230 hp with compressor) and 6 passenger seats. There were produced only 88 models up to 1943. 46 of them of the typ "Tourenwagen" with open bodies. Some cars had armored bodies. There were mainly used by highest state and military authorities of Germany but also, as here, by the Allied High staff officers (General Andrew Thorne). (Scale : 1/72e)
