STARTER KIT Talbot Lago Grand Prix 1/24

Description

Product Description:
The Talbot Lago Grand Prix Starter Kit from Heller (ref. 56721) is a complete 1/24 scale set for building a faithful replica of one of France’s most iconic post-war racing cars. Designed for motorsport and automotive history enthusiasts, the kit includes everything needed for assembly and painting.

Historical Background:
The Talbot Lago Grand Prix T26C, developed in the late 1940s, embodies the golden age of post-war racing. Designed by Anthony Lago and engineer Carlo Marchetti, it featured a 4.5-liter straight-six engine, capable of delivering strong performance despite its relatively heavy build.
Competing in Formula 1 and other international events, it took part in the first World Championship seasons in 1950 and 1951, going head-to-head with the likes of Alfa Romeo and Ferrari. While it sometimes lacked raw speed, its endurance and reliability made it a serious contender in long-distance races, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Today, it stands as an important symbol of the transition from pre-war racing to the modern era of motorsport.
