Antonov An-32B Ukrainian Air Forces

Description

The Antonov An-32B was developed from the successful An-26 transport aircraft and specifically designed to operate in demanding environments, particularly in hot climates and high-altitude regions. Its most distinctive feature is the elevated engine installation above the wings, a configuration chosen to improve performance in “hot and high” operating conditions.

Equipped with more powerful turboprop engines, the An-32B offered excellent short takeoff and landing capabilities, even from rough or unprepared airfields. Its versatility allowed it to perform troop transport, cargo delivery, military support, evacuation and logistical missions.

The An-32B became a successful export aircraft and served with numerous operators around the world. Its rugged construction, reliability and ability to operate in extreme conditions have enabled it to remain in service for many years.
